Description
Designed an automated moving mechanical system in SolidWorks for surface preparation of dry-shielded nuclear storage canisters. I performed FEA on critical parts, created specified drawings for custom components, and prepared a project parts and cost list.
I also assisted with physical canister assembly, gained exposure to gas tungsten arc welding, and presented the design to the Orano USA team.
